A few weeks ago, Sharon and I attended a workshop on parenting provided by Falls Berean Bible Church in Cuyahogo Falls, Ohio. The workshop was taught by Pastor Marvin Gassman of Morrow Bible Church and proved to be well worth the hour drive.

In the first session (45 min. video) he spoke about God-given authority in the Christian home. God has given (1) an instruction to obey, (2) delegation to carry out his will, and (3) his purpose for rearing children.

During the second session, he pointed out four tools God has put in place for the training of children: (1) parents, (2) the Bible, (3) the local church, and (4) the rod. Unfortunately, the camera ran out of batteries during the second session. So, you’ll have to take my word for it that what was shared was very helpful.
