Whaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

The incredible shot.

The Buckeyes extended their winning streak to 19 games and gave coach Thad Matta a victory over his former school today when they rallied from a nine-point deficit in the final three minutes of regulation and defeated Xavier 78-71 in overtime in a second-round NCAA Tournament game in Rupp Arena.

Ron Lewis’ three-pointer with 2 seconds left in regulation tied the score at 62, and Ohio State used a 10-2 run in overtime to avoid the upset.

When I was making a stop at an older person’s home to drop off a meal, she was watching the game. I asked her the score, and she said she thought the Buckeyes were going to lose. They were down by 9 points, and there were less than 2 minutes left in the game. I could not find the game on the radio ANYWHERE in Columbus!

I got home to find out they won…IN OVERTIME!!! This may be it for them! I think the competition is going to get stiffer this next round.

Our SS class (IF OSU gets to the final 4, then to the championship game) will probably have a party at the NCS gym. Are you guys planning something if they get that far? If not, you’re welcome to join us at NCS!
