Devotional Accountability

Practice “casual accountability.” Punishment for failure may produce rebellion, but praise will encourage success. Cheerfully ask your child about his devotional time. Don’t just check up on his actions. Ask him what he is discovering in Scripture. … Showing a genuine interest in your children’s devotions by regularly talking about what they have learned is a gentle way to help them realize they are accountable.
