What are the unsearchable riches of Christ?

I’m studying Ephesians 3:8-13 for Sunday evening’s Bible Study. The section begins with the “unsearchable riches of Christ.” What exactly does that mean? I’m not going to give away my illustrations ahead of time. But my study did take me back to the preceding two chapters. This list is just scratching the surface of what God has done for every believer.

  • We were chosen to be holy and blameless.
  • We were adopted as sons of God.
  • We were made accepted as those whom God loves.
  • We were redeemed by the blood of Christ.
  • We were given the knowledge of God’s will.
  • We were given an inheritance from God.
  • We are an inheritance of God.
  • We were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
  • We were given the knowledge of Christ.
  • We were given his great power.
  • We were given spiritual life.
  • We were given a seat in heaven.
  • We were given grace and kindness.
  • We are his workmanship.
  • We were brought near by the blood of Christ.
  • We have peace through Christ.
  • We were reconciled to God.
  • We are fellow citizens of God’s kingdom.
  • We are part of God’s temple.
  • We are fellow heirs with other believers.
  • We are partakers of God’s promise.

The list could go on and on and on. If you ever feel as if nobody loves you, think again of all that God has given you in Christ.
