Jeremiah 29:13 came to mind this morning: “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” It was originally a message from God to the Jews who would be exiled in Babylon. Even though they had turned their backs on God and were about to suffer the consequences, he promised that they would one day turn back to him … and find him.
He offers a similar promise today for all people no matter their background. “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for ‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'” There is hope for all who turn to Him. I’m glad for that.
