Lessons from Acts 27

shipwreck

Orwell Bible Church meets in various pavilions during the summer for prayer meeting. This week, we met in North Bloomfield and Pastor Dan Greenfield gave us a lesson from Acts 27. You may recall the account of Paul’s voyage and eventual shipwreck on the island of Malta. It was quite the experience! But what stuck with me after hearing the message was this truth: “No matter how bad the situation may seem, God’s promises are never in jeopardy.” Paul prayed, fasted, tried to persuade people, and swam during his harrowing escape. But God’s promises were never at risk of not being fulfilled. That’s a good thought to take today as you consider the promises of God.
